The world of Linspire is growing!
Parlez-vous Français? Sprechen Sie Deutsch? ¿Habla
Español? Fala Português? If you are fluent in another
language, we're looking for you! Linspire is currently available in four
languages: English, Japanese, Italian and Spanish. We are looking to
expand this number and you can help. We're gearing up an exciting new
project at Linspire to bring 1-click-easy desktop Linux to everyone in the
world. This web-based project will allow groups of people to work
together simultaneously on translations to create localized versions of
Linspire. If you are multilingual, and want to help out, just send your
name and the language(s) that you speak to: translationteam@linspireinc.com.
If you sign up, we'll send you more information about the project and
let you know how you can get involved. Become the first to translate
Linspire into your own language! You will get credit for your
translation work with your name in Linspire's "About box" and you'll be helping millions of people experience
desktop Linux in their native tongue. This is a fantastic way for non-technical people and non-programmers to help out Linux and get involved!
There is no minimum commitment and you can translate as much or as little as you wish.
We will also be setting up a Translation Team "Hall of Fame" web site, where we will give you credit for your translation efforts.

Here is a sneak preview of a new tool that we will be introducing in
the future. This will allow people to translate from English to their
own native language.
From the control panel you can manage your projects, view statistics, work on new translations and edit any existing translations that you've already started.

Translating is made easier by using simple, web-based tools. You can see the source
string, and the proposed target string in one place. You can make edits and click the "Save" button to upload
your changes!
